Ryan Seacrest appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ and had nothing but high anticipation for the forthcoming new season of ‘American Idol’ and the new additions to the judging panel.
“I had them come over for dinner the night before we did the first tape day, and we all just hit it off,” Seacrest revealed. “There’s a lot of cameraderie.” He went on to explain how Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are bringing that artist angle to the show, which had been missing this past season. And Randy Jackson?
“Who doesn’t love Randy Jackson?” Seacrest asked. “He’s huggable.” On the audition tours they’ve done so far, he said “the chemistry is fantastic.” It may not be the same ‘Idol’ without everyone’s favorite curmudgeon Simon Cowell. But Cowell will be back next fall with his own singing talent show, ‘The X-Factor.’ For now, we can find out on January 19, 2011 if this new chemistry is truly fantastic, or a little faulty.
