John Stossel advanced his latest contrarian theory — that young and uniformed people shouldn’t be encouraged to vote — on ‘The O’Reilly Factor.’
Stossel did so after playing a segment in which he showed young people on the street photos of prominent politicians, like Vice President Joe Biden, and found that most of them didn’t know who they were.
“Why do we have all these campaign’s saying ‘we got to get all the young people to vote?” Stossel wondered. “Young people often don’t know anything.”
O’Reilly then asked Stossel if he favored a test for voting, but good libertarian that he is, Stossel was strongly against such a government imposition.
“Let’s just stop saying everyone should vote,” was the extent of Stossel’s plea. “Voting is important,” he added.
