When Bill Maher wasn’t humiliating Jay Leno to his face on last night’s Tonight Show he was taking on his other favorite target: Donald Trump. Leno asked Maher about their long standing feud and the Real Time host explained that it all comes down to Trump being an “insufferable racist.”
“Look, I don’t even want to continue this feud with Donald Trump,” Maher told Leno. “I don’t even think Donald Trump is a real person.” Maher explained that the whole thing started when he jokingly offered Trump $5 million if he could prove he’s not the “spawn” of an orangutan. Of course, Trump then took the offer seriously and sued Maher for the money.
Maher said the “egomaniac” Trump thinks the feud stems from his refusal to appear on Real Time, “like I could give a damn if this moron ever does my show.” The real reason, Maher explained, is that Trump became a “one issue” presidential candidate and an “insufferable racist” who only cared about President Obama’s birth certificate.
Mocking Trump’s never-ending desire to see “paperwork” on Obama, Maher said, “I need to see some paperwork on that ferret on his head.”
