Bill O’Reilly apologized to Shirley Sherrod for taking her comments out of context on “The O’Reilly Factor,” but then opened up a new line of attack on Ms. Sherrod, claiming that her story about taking a white farmer to a white lawyer — what she called “his own kind” and “one of his own” — reveals a racially-tinged worldview.
“If a white public servant referenced ‘his own kind’ or ‘one of his own’ when speaking about an African American, that white person would be fired on the spot,” O’Reilly said.
