Britney Spears premiered “Ooh La La” — her first single since 2011 — on Monday’s On Air With Ryan Seacrest, and she had lots to discuss.
The performer addressed ongoing rumors she’ll take a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, telling Seacrest, “It’s quite possible, yes, [but] nothing’s confirmed yet.”
While Spears described “Ooh La La” (from The Smurfs 2 soundtrack) song as “straight-up pop… with a young feel to it,” the same may not be true of her upcoming eighth studio album, which she hopes to finish by the end of the year.
“I think people will be surprised with this album. It’s going to be really different,” Spears explained.
Spears also spilled that her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be making “adorable” cameos in the “Ooh La La” music video, as their obsession with The Smurfs inspired her to record the single.
Seacrest and Spears also went on a tangent about the joys of listening to Christmas music during the summer.
