Politics was the theme David Letterman‘s monologue Thursday night, with the Late Show host poking fun at taking jabs at everything from one Republican convention-goer’s giant cheese hat, to New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s size, and conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh‘s recent comments about Hurricane Isaac.
Limbaugh noted several times that he was not alleging any conspiracy before saying that the Hurricane Center “is the regime” and was intentionally keeping Hurricane Isaac’s track focused on Tampa. The result of that forecast pushed the Republicans to cancel their first day of the Republican National Convention.
Limbaugh said that by 8 p.m. on Saturday night, after the GOP canceled the first night of the convention at 6:41 p.m. EDT, he witnessed “one of the biggest shifts in model forecasts I have seen since 1997.”
Letterman had a theory about Limbaugh’s theory… and it most definitely involves narcotics.
