On “The Talk,” Jamie Lee Curtis described Tony Curtis as a fiction her father created. “This is a guy … was in the Navy. … He was a guy from the streets of New York and he became this other thing. He changed his name and he changed his whole life. And the invention of Tony Curtis was his life.”
Jamie Lee also indicated, though, that Tony had no interest in fatherhood, and that he made this very clear early on. “He did what he was supposed to do from a financial standpoint,” she admitted. “Which was honorable of him to do, but he was not an involved father. And therefore I look at him much more from the perspective of being like all of you, a fan of him.”
