On “The View,” Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck had a heated discussion over Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell, who recently won the Republican primary for the Delaware Senate seat, and President Obama’s plan to raise taxes for wealthier individuals.

First, Hasselbeck wondered aloud why the Republican party isn’t more supportive of O’Donnell’s primary win. “Why does the voters’ count get dismissed?” she asked. “I mean, obviously, it’s their choice right now. That’s who they wanted. That’s the candidate that won in the primary. I don’t understand why then the Republican party doesn’t support the result of the vote.”

“Because they don’t think they can win. That’s why,” said Behar.

“She’s definitely not going to if they don’t support their candidate!” countered Hasselbeck.

Then, the ‘View’ panel launches into a discussion on what motivates the Tea Party, and Behar and Hasselbeck argued loudly over Obama’s proposed tax hike, including whether it actually qualifies as an increase.
