After a painfully long set up on the ‘Today’ show, Kathie Lee Gifford showed clips of herself on Regis Philbin’s second to last taping of “Live! With Regis and Kelly” Thursday morning.
Gifford walked on set with teary eyes. Gifford co-hosted “Live!” with Philbin for 15 years and left the program in 2000.
Philbin was not as emotional. Instead, he told Gifford that there’s just one thing he wanted to know: did she ever feel any sexual tension with him while they co-hosted the show together? He told her to answer the question “honest to God.” Gifford laughed, looked at the audience, and firmly announced “no!”
