Let the three way talk battle begin! It’s a bold move by ABC to shift Jimmy Kimmel into the 11:35pm eastern time slot against Jay Leno and David Letterman. It’s all speculative now…but come January it really will get interesting. All three hosts have their own style and reason for attracting viewers. Beyond that it’s going to still come down to three things: a great monologue, pulling in A’ list guests and creative comedy sketches. Then there’s that audience factor. Are there enough people to split the pie three ways? That may, indeed turn out to be the deciding factor for the new late night talk landscape.
