Michael Douglas told Matt Lauer this morning on ‘Today’ that he is currently cancer-free. “The odds are, with the tumor gone, and what I know about this particular type of cancer, that I’ve got it beat,” he said.
After several months of stories and photos in the tabloids that made it seem like he might lose his battle with throat cancer, Douglas today looked healthy, positive and upbeat. He said he’s excited to get started on his next project, a biopic focusing on the life of the musician Liberace, in which Douglas will play the title role.
