Piers Morgan, who sat down with Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show,” was tight-lipped about rumors that he has been tapped to replace Larry King on CNN when the veteran broadcaster retires from ‘Larry King Live’ in the fall.
“There’s a lot of rumors that you may, possibly, replace Larry King,” Leno said to Morgan.
“I can’t actually talk about that, at the moment,” Morgan responded. “All I can say is that I have signed a new 3-year deal with ‘America’s Got Talent.'”
“If I was to go to Vegas…” Leno joked, trying to prod a response out of Morgan, but to no avail.
Morgan would concede that his “dream guest would be Nelson Mandela,” were he to have his own show.
