Rosie O’Donnell is taking over Oprah’s Chicago studios when her new show for the Oprah Winfrey Network begins, it was announced Tuesday.
The move keeps Oprah’s Harpo Studios running, even after she leaves Chicago to concentrate completely on OWN. (The last episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” airs on May 25th.)
“I’m thrilled about it…and thank you Oprah,” O’Donnell said in a video. “And thank all you people there. Some of you are going to be sticking around and helping us make a kick-ass show for the Oprah Winfrey Network.”
O’Donnell’s show was announced last August, will launch in the fall. Since the announcement, the two have frequently been in the news–whether it was Oprah dismissing feud rumors and admitting she had to warn O’Donnell to behave on the new show, or O’Donnell laughing off rumors about Oprah’s sexuality.
O’Donnell and Oprah have also taken to tweeting back and forth frequently and, if the tweets are to be believed, talking on the phone as well.
