Steve Carell may have initially felt prepared to leave ‘The Office’ after starring in the comedy for the past seven years. But, when it came time to film his final scenes, the actor found it difficult to say goodbye, he said on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’
“I thought I was emotionally prepared, but I was really surprised at how bittersweet it was,” Carell said. “Everybody was crying. It was nice, though.”
In particular, Carell said it was difficult saying farewell to the cast and crew. “They’re my friends, so that was a difficult part of it, sort of, moving on,” he said. “I felt like I was a senior, and everyone else was a junior and I was graduating.”
